Kids Ministry

We love Sunday mornings in Kids Ministry at North Georgia Fellowship, and we can't wait to have your children join us to learn all about God's love for them through His Word!

We understand dropping your child off in a new environment can be an overwhelming experience, and we want to make the transition as easy as possible.

When you arrive, head to the right hall and stop at the Check-in Desk. A staff member or volunteer will help you get your child securely checked in and then walk you both to their classroom where you can meet their teacher.

Sunday Mornings

9:00 am

During our 9:00 service, we provide Worship Care for children who are 6 weeks through preschool age. Kindergarten through 5th grade children attend the service with their parents during this hour.

10:30 am

During our 10:30 service, we have Worship Care for babies & toddlers and Life Groups for preschool through 5th grade.

Our children's Life Groups are separated by age or grade. Children hear a lesson from the Bible and spend time learning about and worshiping Jesus together with friends.

NGA Kids Safety
At North Georgia Fellowship, we want every child to be seen and welcomed, to learn about Jesus, and to feel safe and secure. Here are some of the safety policies we have in place:

  • All kids ministry volunteers go through regular training and background checks.
  • Only screened and trained volunteers may be in the rooms with children once services begin, and we maintain a two-volunteer rule in every classroom so that there are always at least two adults present.
  • When you check in your child, you'll receive a security tag that matches your child's name tag. During pickup, children will only be released to a parent/guardian who has the matching security tag.
  • For allergen safety, we maintain a nut-free and egg-free policy in all of our kids ministry classrooms. Please let a staff member know during check-in if your child has any food allergies or other medical needs.
  • We also recommend letting the staff know about any current Legal, Child Custody, Visitation, or Support issues that we may need to be aware of.
NGA Kids Curriculum
We use Awana's Brite* curriculum for our preschool through 5th grade life groups during the 10:30 hour on Sunday mornings. Each week, children learn to memorize scripture, hear engaging lessons from the Bible, participate in fun activities and crafts that reinforce the lesson, and worship in song and dance.

If you'd like to know more about the scope and sequence of the curriculum we use, you can visit this link and see the lessons we will cover over a three year period:  https://britecurriculum.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Brite-Scope-and-Sequence-2025-2028.pdf
NGA Kids Events
Throughout the year we have several fun activities and events for kids. Some of the highlights are:

  • Fifth Sunday Family Worship - Occasionally throughout the year, a month will have five Sundays, so when that occurs, we have Fifth Sunday Family Worship. All of our kids and student ministry classes are closed for the morning, and children join their families for worship in the services. Our children love having opportunities to serve and worship with the adults, and our adults are always encouraged by the excitement and enthusiasm of the children around them.

  • VBS! - Every summer we have four nights of fun, worship, and Bible learning for our kids at Vacation Bible School. VBS at NGA Fellowship is for children entering Kindergarten all the way up to those who have completed 5th grade. Registration for VBS usually opens in March, so make sure and watch the Events page and get your kids signed up!

  • Kids Camp - Children who have completed 3rd through 5th grade have the opportunity each summer to participate in an overnight camp with friends and volunteers from our kids ministry. This is an exciting time of growth and spiritual development for our older elementary children and helps prepare them for our student ministry.

  • Trunk or Treat - One of our biggest outreach events of the year happens on the last Saturday of October at Trunk or Treat. This event takes place rain or shine and our volunteers come up with some of the most amazing trunks and bring the best candy for our kids and the community!

Other events may be added throughout the year so make sure and check our Events page for details and info!
